How do I cancel an International payment?

For international payments via debit/credit card, you should contact the merchant first about cancelling/refunding your payment. You can also contact the phone number on the back of your card to file a dispute on that transaction. For Akron Fire Police Credit Union cardholders, contact 888-410-3773. If the payment was via ACH (electronically debited from your account), you will need to complete an ACH stop and/or ACH return form. For assistance click Live Chat during business hours or click Email Us and choose ‘General Inquiries/Account Servicing’ as the subject.

How can I make an International payment?

You may use your debit or credit card internationally. Note that a 1% processing fee applies to all international transactions.

Is there a fee to make an International transfer?

We do not offer international external funds transfers. To complete an international wire transfer, you must go through an intermediary US financial institution. Note that a $25 processing fee will apply. If you have an intermediary US financial institution, contact a member of our support team or email info@cpdfcu.com for additional guidance.

How long does an International payment take to complete?

Some International payments are processed the same day and others may take up to 4 business days to complete depending on the method used for your payment.  For more information click Live Chat during business hours or click Email Us and choose ‘General Inquiries/Account Servicing’ as the subject.

How do I update an International payee?

If you used a money movement app to make your transaction, you will have to update your payee information through them.  For any other payee issues, click Live Chat during business hours or Email Us and choose ‘Online/Mobile Banking servicing’ as the subject.
